The Tawakkol Karman Scholarship for the English Language is one of the rare scholarships that are granted to learn English for free, and the Tawakkul Karman Foundation, which won the Nobel Peace Prize, announced that it will provide about 3,000 scholarships to study English in 2023.

The Foundation said on its page on the social networking site Facebook, “to develop the skills of young people to enable them to enter the labor market and obtain the best educational and job opportunities, and the number of beneficiaries of the program exceeded four thousand male and female beneficiaries.”

According to the institution, the program includes three basic tracks, which are teaching the English language, starting from the current level until reaching the TOEFL and IELTS certification test, and democracy and peacebuilding.

Diploma courses are held in the Turkish city of Istanbul for students residing in Turkey. Students can also obtain a scholarship and enroll in a diploma through distance learning.

What does the program include?
