SAYARA’s Sudan Country Program operates from Khartoum, Sudan and is part of the East and Horn of Africa Regional Program. The regional team conducts projects in Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, and Sudan and delivers services to clients around the world, including the United Nations (UNDP, UNOPS, UNFPA, UNHCR, UNICEF, UN Women), the European Union, governments (US, UK, France), universities, international NGOs, and other major donors. Headquartered in the Washington, DC region with local offices in Kenya, Sudan, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Colombia, and France, SAYARA is responsive to client needs in complex environments through local expert knowledge and an ethical, evidence-based approach.

Sayara International seeks to collaborate with experienced researchers ‘ Quantitive and Qualitative’ from all states in Sudan on new and ongoing exciting projects. These projects are spread over all 18 states in Sudan, and we are constantly looking to build our database. Researchers are expected to submit a brief expression of interest and share their CVs by August 13th, 2020.

State researchers/teams will be responsible for project management of resources and outputs, and contributing inputs towards comparative analysis and synthesis of the state studies.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Depending on research themes, topic and methodologies, research outputs could vary. However, it is expected that research teams will produce the following:

  • Enroll in field work and train enumerators for data collection, KIIs and FGDs.
  • Contribute to the preparation and implementation of project deliverables (tools, final report).
  • Participate in evaluation team meetings and calls as requested
  • Serve as the field coordinator for the project.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.
